Montreal
F1 Grand Prix
Granby, June 1st 2008
It's in the autumn of 2007 that the organization of the Montreal
Grand Prix contacts CABairTEK to talk about its needs. The
dilapidated facilities at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on
Ile-Notre-Dame, dating back over 30 years, needed a serious
upgrade for the holding of the event being held this year
from june 6 to 8.
The mandate for CABairTEK: the design and construction of 12
prefabricated buildings on 2 floors for the Formula 1 teams.
That's 24 monohulls soundproof buildings with air-conditioning
that were designed and assembled in the company's facilities
in Granby.
The CABairTEK product is perfectly suited to the needs of the
Grand Prix since the latter requires temporary facilities to
be resettled each year. The buildings are easily transportable
and reconfigurable.
Despite tight deadlines, the modules were delivered on time
at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve through, inter alia, an outstanding
project management by the company's president, Mr Louison Cossette,
and the every moment involvement of the whole CABairTEK team. In all, more than 80 people worked on the
project.
